She knows how to operationalize compliance for digital health companies working with pharma, payers, or direct-to-consumer. She manages processes, policies, and people with specialty expertise in HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, Good Clinical Practices, SOC 2, ISO 9001, and GDPR.

As a former co-founder, COO, and CISO of a SAAS-based GRC/IRM application, Jermaine understands how to drive business needs while securing customer data. He has over 20 years experience leading operational, technical, and security initiatives for on-premises and cloud-native infrastructures. Jermaine specializes in customer security programs aligned to SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27K, NIST 800-53, and HITRUST.

He has over 20 years’ experience developing privacy and security programs with a speciality in regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, FISMA, etc.), formal certifications (ISO, SOC, HITECH, EHNAC), and de-identification of data. Joe is passionate about creating a culture where all employees understand the importance of protecting data, recognize and speak up about potential issues, and are actively engaged in the process.
